Get hacked easily or Remove Your Old Phone Numbers From Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram..

This is just happened to one of my friend. I got to know as I received a friend request from his new Facebook account.  When I asked the reason, he said “Dude, I got hacked”.

(I actually thought someone had created a fake account with his photos and informations.)

So in Viber; I asked, “have you registered a phone no with your Gmail?” then he said since he left the country two years ago, that he does not even remember that phone no.

When I am start telling, “You should have registered a recovery email..”, he told “Dude I have tried everything, recovery email is my ex’s , so you know.”.

I laughed and told that I’ll try to give a shot.

Bingo!!

How  many of you got hacked because of your old phone numbers? Do you know that mobile line providers are re-issuing your old numbers to their new customers. Those new customers can easily find out the linked accounts like GMAIL/GOOGLE ,FACEBOOK ,TWITTER, INSTAGRAM and can get access to your Social Accounts.

You cannot complain those mobile network providers because of the signatures you made rushingly on invoices during the SIM purchase.

So, How you can overcome this security loop in the Corporate Driven Living System?

Just un link your old phone numbers from online accounts.

Not only old phone numbers, also not-using and lost phone numbers.

Take more pre-caution when,

• You are giving up on your fancy phone number. Remember fancy ones get acquired by other quickly.
• Going abroad while keeping that sim hidden under the book cover inside your secret drawer.
• Reciprocatively giving the phone number for someone else to use.
• Inadvertently providing the recovery email address. 😉
• Disconnecting the number from network provider.
• Shifting from one GSM provider to another.
